The team that brought you Splinterlands - one of the world's top blockchain-based play2earn games - is extremely excited to announce our next major project in the play2earn gaming space: Genesis League Sports (GLS)!

Splinterlands technology is uniquely positioned in the blockchain world to handle millions of users and hundreds of millions of transactions per day, making Splinterlands the perfect platform to bridge sports brands, athletes, and fans into the blockchain world. GLS will be a blockchain-based, play2earn gaming platform and ecosystem specifically designed for sports-related games and NFTs. It will host an ever-growing catalog of games across a plethora of sports types, as well as partnerships with major sports leagues and organizations around the globe.

Players will have the opportunity to own Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) of many of their favorite real-life athletes, stadiums, fans, power-ups, teams, formations, and more. They will be able to trade, train, boost, and group these NFTs into teams to compete against other players in various game modes and win cryptocurrency, NFTs, and other prizes!

GLS aims to create a decentralized gaming ecosystem that allows true player ownership of digital assets in addition to a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that will give players governance control over many aspects of the platform. As a result, GLS will provide a secure and user-friendly blockchain experience for gamers and sports fans.

We are also extremely excited to announce that the first game within the Genesis League Sports platform will be Genesis League Goals, which will be launched in partnership with the Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA)! Players will collect, buy, rent, sell, and compete with their favorite, real-life MLSPA players while earning cryptocurrency and other rewards!
